5.0 3 Reviews SKU: TDTRM00CENDuration: 60 Minutes

The purpose of this course is to teach participants the purpose and function of the components that make up the transmission portion of a transmission and distribution (T&D) system. These components include conductors, insulators, and structures. The course also gives a basic overview of the major tasks that must be accomplished when a transmission line is constructed and discusses the principal concerns of a lineman during transmission line inspection. At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to list and describe the major components in a transmission line and explain their functions. They should also be able to describe the basic tasks involved in constructing and inspecting a transmission line.
