Generators and PD Equipment
The alternating current (AC) electrical supply used in industrial applications is provided by electro-magnetic generation. A large generator is turned using the mechanical output from steam turbines, wind turbines, water turbines, or other devices. Generating facilities can be very large, or they may be small enough for a single plant. This course discusses how a generator operates, types of generators, automatic switchovers, electrical boards, control boards, and electric panel safety devices.
